Announcement: Press Release

The 91st Powhatan County Fair Opens in Three Weeks at the Fairgrounds, September 23-September 26

The Powhatan County Fair is returning to the fairgrounds September 23 through September 26, 2010.

Three new major attractions this year will be the Stoney Roberts Demolition Derby, ATV Four-Wheel Races and Mud Bogging Derby. Spectators will be able to see "regular folk" take the wildest ride of their lives. Everyone has the opportunity to be a daredevil for a day.

A themed “Teen Takeover Day” will be held on Friday, September 24th with activities and events geared to our community youth. The Petting Zoo is also a family favorite with animals featuring llamas, alpacas, goats, chickens, pigs, etc.

Advance Discount Wristband Coupons ($10) are available at Central VA bank and various locations throughout the County. Enjoy unlimited rides all day for less. Don't miss the savings. Daily gate admission is $6, seniors (55 & up) and children 12 and under $3. Free admission to active military and children 3 and under. Admission includes that day’s grandstand entertainment.

Fair hours are Thursday 5 p.m.-11 p.m., Friday 5 p.m.-12 a.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-12 midnight, and Sunday 1 p.m.-8 p.m.
