Powhatan County Fair Association Announces New Dates

Annual Fair Moves To Spring

Powhatan, VA – The Powhatan County Fair Association announces its show dates for the 92nd Powhatan County Fair. The four-day fair will open daily from May 19th through May 22nd at the county fairgrounds, located at 4042 Anderson Highway (Route 60) at the intersection of Bauer Road.

America’s #1 Carnival is coming to Powhatan. Known for its spectacular assortment of amusement rides, Deggeller Attractions, Inc. will be providing the midway rides and games. This is the same carnival company utilized by the State Fair of Virginia. Deggeller Attractions is an industry leader ranked in OABA’s Circle of Excellence.

The Powhatan County Fair was founded to exhibit educational displays, showcase agricultural achievements, demonstrate new equipment and processes, and serve as a social venue. Today, the Association is a non-profit which organizes the annual county fair, promotes recreation and tourism, provides economic development opportunities and serves as an event venue for all to enjoy.

Presented by Powhatan County Fair Association and Powhatan County Parks & Recreation

This is Powhatan’s first annual Food Festival and Spring Food Bank Drive. A family fun event that is designed to showcase the diverse array of culinary delights and bring awareness to the battle against hunger through our “Hungry to Help” food bank drive for the Central VA Food Bank. The festivities will include live music, kid’s activities, car and bike shows and more.

Visitors “hungry to help” can bring non-perishable items for the food bank drive and be entered in a raffle for a chance to win cash and/or prizes.

A variety of popular mobile food trucks and street vendors will feature their prime eats… buy a taste or buy a meal!

Among your choices? BBQ, chicken wings, hot dogs, soul food, seafood—even veggie options. Also, shoppers will be tempted by vendors displaying jewelry, arts and crafts and other kinds of merchandise.

Everyone is welcome….bring your kids, your friends, a lawn blanket and enjoy the good music, food and fun!
